Jersey City, NJ, November 6, 2022 – Jonathan LeVine Projects is pleased to announce its programming for Art Fair 14C in Jersey City, New Jersey. The booth is a comprehensive group showcase highlighting artists from New Jersey, as well as artists based around the world who have exhibited extensively at the gallery over its 21-year history.

Artists making their inaugural debut with the gallery include Aaron Robert Baker (Chicago), Joseph Borzotta (Asbury Park), Jessy Nite (Miami), Pixel Pancho (Italy) and Erik Pyontek, (Trenton) and Pork Chop (Asbury Park). Returning gallery veterans include Dylan Egon (Jersey City), Shepard Fairey (Los Angeles), Kumkum Fernando (Vietnam) and Jenna Krypell (Brooklyn).

Jonathan LeVine was born and raised in Trenton and has been an advocate for the New Jersey artist community throughout his career. In 2017, after over a decade of having a gallery in Manhattan’s Chelsea district, LeVine returned to his roots and relocated his space to Jersey City. With a newfound focus on community collaboration, LeVine spearheaded projects that went beyond the white cube gallery model, such as murals by Shepard Fairey, How and Nosm and ROA in Journal Square and downtown Jersey City. In 2021, LeVine sponsored the first mural festival in Jersey City, which featured over 50 artists and celebrated the city as a hub for public art.

The gallery is excited to participate in Art Fair 14C with an exhibit of local talent alongside work by internationally renowned artists. For example, drawings by Trenton-based high school teacher Erik Pyontek next to paintings by Pixel Pancho, one of the most recognizable muralists in the world. Our booth exemplifies the galleries mission of exploring the terrain of the high, the low and everything in between.

Limited edition prints by Joseph Borzotta will be sold at our booth and the first ten will be sold at a discounted rate. Limited edition prints and hats by Dylan Egon will also be available.

Jonathan Levine Projects is committed to new and cutting-edge art. Its roots date back to 1995 when LeVine’s life-long participation in punk and underground music grew into a curatorial experiment with the visual culture that surrounded him. In 2005, he opened Jonathan LeVine Gallery in the Chelsea district of New York City and had great success nurturing the careers of many celebrated artists. In 2017, the gallery relocated to Jersey City with a new space in Mana Contemporary. The renamed Jonathan LeVine Projects aims to create engaging programs and interesting partnerships beyond the traditional gallery space. In 2019, Jonathan LeVine Projects transitioned from a brick-and-mortar gallery to a virtual exhibition platform, spearheading a digital marketplace for fine art.
