Win Wallace was born in South Carolina where he played in bands and made flyers for underground punk and noise rock shows. He moved to Austin in the mid-1990’s and studied drawing at the University of Texas. His drawings are influenced by history, art history, dreams, nature, and pathos. Wallace has exhibited his work extensively throughout Texas, the United States and internationally. He has made posters for some well-known bands such as the Melvins, Neurosis, Sleep, The Jesus Lizard, Alice Donut, Animal Collective, The Dicks and many others. His recent practice focuses on Conte and charcoal portraits, as well as ink drawings. Win draws every single day.
