Susannah Martin was born in 1964 in New York City and studied painting at New York University where she received a SEHNAP Scholarship Award for painting. Following her studies, Susannah Martin was self-employed as a muralist and painter of sets for film and photography in New York, Berlin Germany and finally Frankfurt am Main, where she currently lives and works. In 2004, Susannah Martin decided to commit herself full time to fine art. Since then Martin has participated in many solo and group exhibitions throughout Europe and the United States. Most recently in “ Painting the Figure Now” at the Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art. Her work has been featured in American Art Collector, Juxtapoz, High Fructose and the Huffington Post among others.
